I voted in-person on the final day of early voting, October 30, 2020 :-)
I did this so I can experience how a polling site functions to prepare myself for November 3, 2020 when I co-lead a small team to staff a polling site: #79 on this list. Wednesday will be a long day at a far away site in a restricted land but I am proud to play a role in democracy ^_^ |
It must be a long, exhausting day but thank you for playing a role in democracy :)
ReplyDeleteMy hat goes off to you Professor, taking out the time to make sure everyone's voting experience goes well. That is a big role in democracy.
ReplyDeleteKudos to you! I'm sure you had an exhausting day- I'm sure it was even more tiring for the long drive to and from Moapa, Nevada. Thanks for the commitment despite the distance :-)
ReplyDeleteThat's amazing Professor. I was originally going to help as a poll worker but because of my current work schedule I had to pass. My friend Francis who I spoke about in my second blog post was a poll worker in New York and she was there for 17 hours. Thank you both for helping out.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a busy day. Hopefully everything went as smoothly as possible.
ReplyDeleteI'm happy to see that people are still willing to volunteer their time for an important task. If we don't take care of our society and push it forward ourselves then who will.
ReplyDeleteI hope to participate in the voting someday, so I can have more understanding of the process.
ReplyDeleteVoting is so important. My boyfriend came with me to vote this was his first time seeing the process as a DACA recipient. He can't vote yet but one day.
